Solar Creation 2

Artwork Solar Creation 2—full artwork and technical description below. Coming in 2026, The Origins of Time.

Selena

There are those who would
strip her secrets away, leaving
only dry and dusty bones.
Others seek an illusionary stranger
who never inhabited her body.

My words, with all their vanity
and misdirection, are dedicated
to Selena, and every sentence
diminishes me.

In my childhood, I sought
the inner sky, its ever-drifting
azure emptiness, and I knew
that the realm of angels
was all around me.

One afternoon, after the doctor
had come and gone,
when the aether was still burning
in the rainy street outside,
I saw Jacinta, the Goddess of Mist.

She was working her loom,
weaving an invisible cage of air
that tethered me to the land
of the living.

Now Jacinta’s threads have frayed,
and the aether burns again
on the horizon.

I’ve searched the library of sighs,
riffled the soft edges of the worn index
cards, wandered the shelves
where the ink has faded
to mysterious glyphs
in long-forgotten manuscripts,

but there’s no going back—
the codes to unlock the past
are not accessible to mortals.

“Not long, not long now.”
I hear her whispers in the rustle
of the trees that sway in the wind
—she who found me in a dream
of comingled quantum states—
Selena, who binds me in phase-locked
superposition with the lunar realm.

She waits in the eternal evening,
where a beach still exhales the warmth
of summer, where all my vanities
will be forgiven, and where
what I lost in the fire
of my becoming will be restored.

Coming in 2026, The Origins of Time: Where does time come from? Will my time machine work? What did Einstein get wrong about time? And much more, all with clear, commonsense explanations and diagrams.

Out now, illustrated poetry collection Texture of Silence, a collaboration with Eugen Bacon, and Purpose of Reality, illustrated collections of poetry and stories in two volumes from Meerkat Press.

Solar Creation 2 from my Beyond AI Project. Existing textures enhanced by AI’s StableDiffusion with EasyDiffusion run from an AutoIt3 script (ControlNet dominates). Eight-hour runtime on an NVidiaGeForce RTX4070 Ti Super graphics card. Evolved by the Visual Evolution Engine, my software that seeks unimagined realms, with cyclic nonlinear desaturation, ultracubism, and adaptive layered image synthesis. Art and poetry also on Instagram.
