later magical tourism

Wizards

My poem Later Magical Tourism appeared in the Winter 2017 Issue of Mirror Dance (summer in the lower hemisphere). Mirror Dance is a quarterly magazine of fantasy fiction, poetry, and art, with issues freely available on-line, and there’s some impressive work on their site.

They pay poets at US semi-professional rates, which means a coffee and an apple cinnamon muffin or so, but it’s a good thing. Coffee and muffins paid for by publishers taste better.

LMT is set in the Later Age of Magic, and it’s basically fantasy with some mathematics and some minions. I’ve always wanted to write something with minions in it, almost as good as actually having minions.

I also answered an interview question which will appear after the poem: some handy creativity tips delivered with due seriousness. Hahaha.
